Last updated: 27 June 2026
1. Who we are
DMI is a business operating system provided by DMI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is available on request. References to 'DMI', 'we', 'us' or 'our' in this policy refer to DMI Ltd.
We are the data controller for personal data collected through our platform and marketing website (dmi.marketing).
2. What data we collect
Account data: name, email address, and business name provided when you sign up or request a demo.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and device/browser information collected automatically through our platform.
Business data: information you enter into DMI to run your business — customer records, financial transactions, inventory, and similar operational data. This data belongs to you; we process it only to provide the service.
Communications: emails, demo request forms, and support queries you send to us.
3. How we use your data
To provide and improve the DMI platform and send you essential service communications.
To respond to demo requests and onboard new customers.
To send product updates and marketing emails where you have opted in. You may opt out at any time.
To comply with legal obligations, including financial record-keeping requirements.
4. Legal basis for processing
Contract performance: processing your account data is necessary to deliver the services you have agreed to.
Legitimate interests: usage analytics, product improvement, and fraud prevention.
Consent: marketing emails and optional cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legal obligation: where we are required to retain data by law.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with sub-processors necessary to operate the service (hosting, transactional email, payment processing). All sub-processors are contractually bound to protect your data.
We may disclose data where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of DMI and its users.
6. Data retention
Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 7 years to comply with UK tax and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of personal data not subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@dmi.marketing. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management, and optional analytics cookies where you have consented. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
